John Zorn, M.B.A. - Chief Executive Officer
John Zorn is a nationally recognized consultant focused on business and marketing strategies for information-based companies. He received his MBA from Stanford University. Before joining Targeted Therapeutics Consulting in 2008, he founded Artsreach, a network of leading arts professionals. He is the publisher of "Arts Reach: The Art and Science of Enhancing Your Mission, Attendance and Fundraising". John is a frequent invited speaker at national conferences and workshops. |

W. Michael Korn, M.D. - Founder
Dr. Korn founded Targeted Therapeutics Consulting, Inc. in 2004. He designed the CuraBase database after realizing the need for a curated, systematic approach to collecting information on new drugs in oncology. He is a physician-scientist trained in medical oncology and gastroenterology with an independent laboratory program in basic and translational research at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (HDFCCC) centered on the rational development of targeted combination therapies for cancer. Dr. Korn is Co-Director of the Center of Molecular Oncology at the HDFCCC. Dr. Korn completed a post-doctoral fellowship with Dr. Frank McCormick at UCSF and with Dr. Reinhard Becher at the West German Cancer Center, Essen, Germany, where he also completed his training in hemato-oncology and gastroenterology. Dr. Korn's scientific work has been published in high-level medical journals. Dr. Korn serves on the NCCN Guidelines Panel for esophageal and gastric cancer. |

Pete Wheelan, M.B.A., J.D.
Pete Wheelan joined the Targeted Therapeutics Consulting Board of Directors in 2009. He has been an executive online publishing and travel industries for more than ten years, in a number of different capacities. He is currently COO at Blurb, Inc, a ground-breaking creative publishing platform. In the late 1990’s, Pete was co-Founder and CEO of AdventureSeek, an online portal for adventure travel. AdventureSeek was ultimately purchased by The Unexplored Travel Network, where Pete served as COO. Before founding AdventureSeek, Pete was a strategy consultant with The Boston Consulting Group, where he provided strategic counsel to senior management and boards of directors. Pete has a BA from Dartmouth College, an MBA from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a JD from Northwestern Law School. |

Frank McCormick, Ph.D., F.R.S.,
is the Director of the University of California, San Francisco Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the David A. Wood Professor of Tumor Biology and Cancer Research in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at UCSF. Before assuming his current affiliation with UCSF, Dr. McCormick was the founder and chief scientific officer at Onyx Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, he served as vice president of research at Chiron Corporation, and vice president of research at Cetus Corporation. He also completed post-doctoral fellowships with Dr. Alan Smith at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund in London, England, and with Professor Seymour S. Cohen at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. McCormick received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry from the University of Birmingham, England and his Ph.D in biochemistry from the University of Cambridge, England. Dr. McCormick is on the editorial board of some of the most prestigious international cancer publications and serves as a board member or advisor to multiple cancer research organizations. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his contributions to the field of cancer research, authored more than 200 scientific publications and edited five books, and holds 21 patents.

Alan Venook, M.D.
Dr. Venook is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where he leads the Gastrointestinal Oncology clinical program. He is currently the Chair of the Committee on Human Research and Director of the RKS (Regulatory Knowledge and Support) Program, UCSF Clinical and Translational Science Institute. A nationally recognized expert in colorectal and liver cancers, Dr. Venook received a BA degree from Rutgers University in 1976 and graduated from the UCSF School of Medicine in 1980. He spent two years in the Public Health Service following internship, and completed his training in Internal Medicine at UC Davis and his Hematology and Oncology training at UCSF. He has been on the faculty at UCSF since 1988. Dr. Venook has served on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical Oncology and is an ad hoc reviewer for numerous journals. He has served three times on the Program Committee for the annual ASCO meeting. He has published more than 60 original articles, chapters or books dealing with gastrointestinal malignancies. Dr. Venook currently chairs the NCI’s Hepatobiliary Task Force and is the co-PI of CALGB 80405, an Intergroup study for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. He also serves on the NCCN Hepatobiliary and Colorectal Guideline Panels. |
